How I cursed not having a real camera with a telephoto lense. In the middle of the picture, on a small rock ledge, stands a bighorn sheep. A number of sheep traversed the rock field in the foreground; in fact, they created the rock slide. We were mystified by the sounds of rocks falling into the river until we noticed the sheep high above, kicking rocks in at will as they moved along. The sheep on the ledge seemed stuck there for several minutes in a "how did I get myself into this?" pose. Finally, he scrambled up off the ledge, above and to the right of wher he is standing.
