Derek Charles Bartholomaus is the younger of two sons from Dale Ulrich Bartholomaus and Mary Lou (Couch) Bartholomaus. Craig William Bartholomaus is the eldest son.
Derek was born in the Northern Chicago suburb of Wilmette, Illinois. He lived in the same house on Gregory Avenue until he went to college. Derek attended Columbia College Chicago from 1988-1992. In 1993 Derek moved from his apartment near the lakeshore and Lincoln Park to Southern California to pursue his career in the Entertainment Industry.
Derek has always been intensely interested in movies and television shows and now works as a Post Production Producer on various television shows. Derek is also a member of the Producers Guild of America and is currently serving on the Associate Producers Council as one of the elected representatives for Post Production.
Derek is the creator of the Jenny McCarthy Body Count, which tracks the number of Vaccine Preventable Illnesses and Vaccine Preventable Deaths that have occurred since Jenny McCarthy started telling parents to not vaccinate their children. He is also the creator of the Billy Meier UFO Case website, which looks at the various claims made by alleged UFO contactee, Billy Meier, from a scientific and skeptical viewpoint.
On October 7, 2011 Derek proposed to Kimberley Kay Couey and on January 15, 2012 they were married. They currently live in Los Angeles with their cat, Pippin, their dog, Mazy, and their bird, Nicky.
